      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Lead the development and execution of policy and research initiatives to advance economic policies in Washington, DC
      - Drive strategy and goal-setting for the organization’s policy and research agenda
      - Build partnerships with academics, advocacy organizations, and community groups to inform policy initiatives
      - Ensure high-quality research and writing to support policy materials and technical assistance to policymakers
      - Elevate the organization’s visibility and influence through events, research, and external representation

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Graduate degree or equivalent knowledge in relevant fields such as economics, law, sociology, or public policy
      - 12+ years of experience in policy analysis and development and/or research in related fields
      - Strong research and writing capabilities for producing rigorous policy materials
      - Proven track record of leadership and moving people on policy issues
      - Extensive experience liaising with policy experts and government officials on economic policy issues

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Policy expertise in tax and fiscal policy and/or regulation and antitrust
      - Familiarity with the economic policy, think tank, and advocacy community in Washington, DC
      - Proactive self-starter who seeks new opportunities and forms strategic partnerships
      - Experience analyzing research and legislation to identify key information
      - Strong public speaking and presentation skills on policy topics
