Lead and manage team of strategy and business development managers.
Determine the company’s go-to-market strategies for design and manufacturing and AEC portfolios in the global education market, including prioritizing the industries and programs, segments, and geographies we pursue through both direct and partner led motions.
Identify, qualify, negotiate, and manage a select number of strategic partners to deliver measurable impact aligned with our business objectives.
Research and regularly report on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer product usage.
Build the division’s annual strategic plan, help establish priority outcomes and success measures, and provide data driven insights and analysis on our performance against our plans as a part of our QBR process.
Work collaboratively with your peers in marketing, field engagement, customer success, product, legal, HR, finance, and operations to develop and execute annual operating plans and budgets.
Actively influence and manage key stakeholders in the vertical solutions divisions to ensure the company’s product portfolio meets our customers’ unique needs.
Influence and leverage Autodesk’s CEO, COO, CMO and other senior executives to advance our efforts and secure incremental investment.
Champion and act as division spokesperson for Autodesk and our efforts in education with employees, customers, partners, and the press.
Related professional experience of at least 12 years
You have built and successfully executed global GTM strategies at the division or corporate level for a cloud software business.
You have negotiated and driven strategic partners to deliver against your business’ objectives
You have help set the key objectives, metrics, and KPIs for a division or company
You have developed the business case for and successfully secured significant investment dollars from a CEO, COO and/or CMO.
You have acted as a division or company spokesperson on panels, mainstage presentations and in conversation with customers, partners, press, and analysts
You have inspired and led your teams through structural and cultural change
You are a good storyteller who translates feature speak into customer benefits that resonate with multiple audiences.
You have inspired, influenced, unified, and secured support from C level executives and cross-functional stakeholders in a large, matrixed organization.
You are willing and able to travel 35%, including internationally.
You have successfully displaced an entrenched software competitor in a mature and crowded marketplace
You have successfully grown and expanded presence in an existing market
You have successfully launched innovative, new technologies that require customers and partners to change the way they work
You have knowledge of the Education market, EdTech sector, and/or Autodesk’s products
You have a global perspective

Reporting to: Vice President, Autodesk Education Experiences
Location: Portland, Denver, Atlanta, Boston, or San Francisco
Position Overview
As our Senior Director of Strategy and Strategic Partnerships, you will lead the team responsible for setting Autodesk’s go-to-market strategies for our Design and Manufacturing and AEC portfolios in the global education market. You will craft the strategies required to shift share in markets where we are the challenger and to move customers to our cloud connected workflows and platforms in markets where we are a leader.
Ultimately, you will help build the vision and plans that will ensure Autodesk becomes a trusted partner with students, educators and key influencers, and that students around the world are prepared for jobs of the future and for shaping the future of the industries we serve.
