What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct in-depth medical screenings of potential tissue donors and communicate with referral sources to determine suitability for donation
- Engage with grieving families to discuss tissue donation opportunities and document authorization per organizational policies
- Coordinate all aspects of the donation process, including collaboration with hospitals, medical examiners, and transportation vendors
- Participate in training and development of Donor Operations staff, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices
- Maintain accurate documentation in donor management software and monitor case progress

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience approaching grieving families and securing tissue authorizations within a relevant organization
- Proven track record with an average of 375 authorized cases year over year
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication skills for conveying information clearly and compassionately
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or an equivalent field preferred
- Certified Transplant Preservationist (CTP), Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC), or Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) preferred
- Experience in training or coaching roles within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with adult learning theory and training development
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
