Job Summary

The Senior Drafter role is a mid-level, 1099 contractor position. This position is full-time, temporary, and subject to a 90-day review for permanent hire. This position is fully-remote, allowing you to work from home Monday - Friday each week. While working alongside a team of experienced drafters and providing guidance to entry-level drafters, this position works closely with the engineering team and project managers to draft and design high voltage electrical systems. Duties/Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Drafting and designing wiring and layout diagrams for electrical utility systems.
• Drafting technical details while taking direction from electrical engineers, project managers and designers based on the scope of work.
• Specify dimensions, materials and procedures according to the guidance provided by others
• Must have experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Bentley Microstation, and Bentley Projectwise.
• Create and store drawings electronically according to client and company standards.
• Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications as it relates to high voltage electrical systems in collaboration with our client service teams.
• Responsible for all schematics checked in and out for approval and for construction.
• Responsible for managing the documents that are being worked on from project inception to project completion.
• Responsible for processing requests for “checking out” already existing facility drawings.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities

• Experience using AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation required
• Experience drafting for electrical engineering preferred
• Extremely detailed oriented
• Clear and concise communication both verbally and in writing

Education and Experience

• Associate Degree in Engineering CAD/Design required, Engineering or Engineering Tech degree strongly preferred.
• 7+ years experience in drafting using AutoCAD and Bentley Microstation required, 1+ year experience with Bentley Projectwise required
