      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage NEPA compliance projects and oversee staff to ensure quality assurance and control
      - Conduct research and prepare technical assessments related to NEPA compliance
      - Review and process complex planning studies, development applications, and amendments
      - Provide professional planning assistance to member communities on land use and transportation projects
      - Perform field inspections to verify compliance with approved plans

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental policy, planning, economics, or a related field
      - 8+ years of relevant NEPA experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
      - Excellent communication, technical, and writing skills
      - Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
      - Proven experience in managing complex environmental studies

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 10+ years of relevant experience with NEPA compliance, environmental permitting, or project management
      - Knowledge of federal environmental laws, including the National Environmental Policy Act and Clean Water Act
      - Experience planning for or managing recreation, land use, or wilderness areas
      - Excellent organization and time-management skills
