What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee, manage, and provide technical support for research and development projects
- Focus on sustainable environmental investigation and cleanup technologies
- Manage a team of scientists and engineers
- Coordinate with stakeholders such as the U.S. EPA, research institutes, and technology vendors
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD in engineering or sciences
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in leading research and development projects
- Experience working with federal clients and managing federal contracts
- Strong communication, organizational, and management skills
- Computer modeling and database management skills are desirable
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in business development and pitching project concepts to clients
- Registration or certification as an engineer or scientist
- OSHA HAZWOPER certification
