Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Public Health and Safety or Industrial Hygiene (MSPH) from an accredited university is preferred.
Certification: Ability to achieve certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST or STSC) is preferred.
Job Summary:
Ensure that all Tormod activities comply with local, state, and national EHS&S regulations. Develop, implement, monitor, report, and continuously improve all EHS&S.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Ensure Tormod's sustained compliance with all local, state, and national EHS&S regulations
• Conduct risk assessments of work activities to identify potential risks and gaps in Tormod safety systems.
• Provide continual improvement to safety management procedures.
• Interact directly with Tormod teammates (both in our offices and onsite) to promote the desired safety culture and audit compliance with Tormod procedures.
• Identifying needs and implement Tormod EHS&S Loss Prevention policies and processes
• Effectively manage and track Tormod injury cases
• Ensure compliance with EHS&S training requirements and continuously improve training effectiveness
• Work with Procurement to review agreements with subcontractors and clients to ensure that Tormod is not exposed to unnecessary risk
• Develop and promote positive relationships with clients' HSE representatives and other external stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, GMP, ANSI standards and other Loss Prevention best practices
• Working knowledge of Industrial Hygiene & Safety principles and practices
• Attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects efficiently

• Ability to deal with ambiguity
• Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills
• Business acumen (marketing, business development, sales, forecasting, project execution)
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time
• Ability to travel as needed by automobile or air as needed to conduct Tormod business
