      Our Event Marketing team is seeking a New York City based talent who is highly motivated to drive brand awareness and excitement within our stores. This role will strategize, develop and execute events that drive engagement for Nordstrom and bring our brand to life through best-in-class experiences through customer activations, industry events, brand partnerships, charity events and more!

      A day in the life...

      • Work closely with Event Director on establishing goals and event strategies to support JWN objectives
      • Develop event strategies that deliver to: (1) tell the Nordstrom story through compelling and innovative experiences which highlight our brand and (2) an always-on event strategy focused on driving trips into our stores to support business goals and priorities.
      • Lead the strategic development of designer events through directly liaising with the Designer NMG, Marketing and PR teams for in-store events and promotions while maintaining and ensuring that overall designer marketing goals are achieved
      • Own event strategy and planning for a cross-functional marketing area or merchandising division to execute customer-centric events (both in-store and virtually) that drive brand awareness, store trips and volume
      • Lead event intake and filtering process for regional requests to ensure that efforts ladder to the overall company strategy
      • Build, develop, lead and support regional teams to plan and execute events and store promotions that align with Nordstrom brand standards while meeting budget plan, tracking expenses and invoices
      • Be a proactive leader in driving efficiencies for regional roll-out of corporately driven events
      • Provide on-going coaching to store and regional leadership on Nordstrom brand standards to enable and empower them to execute turn-key store events
      • Effectively hire, develop and supervise an efficient and effective team of employees
      • Manage financial aspects and budgets to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement within the organization
      • Provide marketing insights and adjust strategy accordingly to be market-relevant from corporate toolkits/roll-outs before communication to team or region
      • Support regional team and help liaise regional issues to corporate and vice versa
      • Stay current on best practices in event marketing, target customer and key competitors while keeping up with the newest trends and keeping event innovation top of mind

      You've got this if you have...

      • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required
      • 8+ years’ experience in event/experiential marketing with progressively larger responsibility, preferably in the designer or luxury retail sector
      • Experience with multi-channel marketing, as well as making marketing recommendations, setting marketing goals, and leading teams through concept and development
      • Ability to build strong relationships with peers and senior leadership across a diverse set of organizations and functions
      • Strong relationship building and communication skills as well as a proven ability to multitask
      • Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills
      • Demonstrated negotiation and facilitation skills
      • Experience planning, owning, and managing marketing budgets
      • Experience managing, mentoring and leading direct reports
      • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
      • Analytical mindset and data-driven decision making
      • Vendor and/or Agency management experience

      Pay Range Details

      The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

      New York: $126,500 - $210,000 annually
