      Senior Event Planner - Corporate Events

      The Corporate Events Team, within Corporate Strategy, is an enterprise-wide solution offering full service event planning, production, management and design. Our dynamic and creative-minded group of event planners work collaboratively as well as independently to produce a wide variety of in-person and hybrid high touch, impactful events. The team acts as the professional voice of event management, serving as trusted advisors to our line of business client groups and leadership in the communication and achievement of their business goals through events. We are strategic partners and experts in the event management field, and our clients rely on our team to guide them in the right direction.

      Overall responsibilities:

      Our team is looking for an individual that can deliver multiple best-in-class events, both associate and client-facing, to our internal clients by obtaining an in-depth understanding of the client’s business objectives, logistical needs and budget constraints.

      The ideal candidate for the Senior Event Planner position will be responsible for facilitating the event planning process with superior customer service skills, a high level of professionalism and willingness to handle all planning and administrative details of the event. This individual will possess strong event and project management skills, and be able to successfully plan and execute both in-person and hybrid events. These responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

      • Collaborating as a strategic partner with our executives, line of business leadership and internal clients to develop, implement and execute event goals

      • Creating detailed project plans, proposals, recommendations and leveraging subject matter expertise to provide guidance on the overall event experience

      • Managing all pre-event components to include budget management, Request For Proposals (RFPs), venue selection, contract negotiation, registration creation, audio visual coordination, housing management, food and beverage selection, vendor management and attendee engagement (i.e. gifting, team building, etc.)

      • Management of hybrid meetings and events to create unique and engaging virtual experiences

      • Oversight of on-site management with venue, vendors and support team

      • Post event management to include reviewing invoices for accuracy, processing payments, conducting post-event surveys and debrief meetings

      The Successful Candidate Will Have:

      • A proven record of achievement in their current position

      • Strong critical thinking and excellent problem solving skills with the ability to pivot in real time and provide clear recommendations in an ever-changing environment

      • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

      • Strong project management, time management, multitasking and organizational skills

      • The ability to cultivate positive relationships and influence decision-making with executives, line of business leadership and internal clients

      • Demonstrated awareness of in-person and hybrid event production best practices and trends

      • Superior customer service skills

      • Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environment

      • A calm and organized approach to working in high pressure situations

      • Excellent computer and analytical skills

      • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends

      • Willingness to travel (30 – 40%)

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree

      • At least 5 years experience in event planning and event management

      • At least 5 years experience in budgeting and negotiating contracts

      • At least 5 years experience in project management

      • At least 4 years experience working with a Strategic Meeting Management Platform (SMMP)

      • At least 4 years experience working with remote collaboration tools

      • At least 4 years experience working with document software

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Hospitality or Event Management

      • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) Designation

      • 7 years of experience in event planning, corporate or third-party management preferred

      • 7 years of experience in budgeting and negotiating contracts of all types

      • 7 years of experience in project management

      • 5 years of experience working with an SMMP (Cvent preferred)

      • 5 years experience working with remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Google Hangouts, Slack preferred)

      • 5 years experience working with document software (Google Suite preferred)
