      JOB DESCRIPTION

      The Senior Finance Manager of corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) is responsible for overseeing the Corporate FP&A group. This enterprise-wide center of excellence is responsible for analyses such as M&A valuations, ad-hoc financial analysis that drive actionable business decisions, investment analysis such as capital appropriation reviews, commodity forecasting, company-wide functional spend and enterprise business and financial planning. This position oversees a team of 4 Exempt and 1 Non-Exempt staff.

      This role reports to the Director of Finance – FP&A

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Partners with Segment Finance to prepare and synthesize the financial analysis of all the company’s investments including capital expenditures, operational expenditures, acquisitions, and any other form of business investment. The incumbent is expected to have a mastery of finance, a comprehensive understanding of financial statements, and understand how both internal and external factors impact financial performance while also linking to Company strategy. This responsibility includes but is not limited to:
        • Independently driving financial transparency, provide financial insights and recommendations that lead to decisions yielding maximum, long-term value for the business.
        • Reviewing all valuations and the associated assumptions prior to delivering results to Company leadership.
        • Leading the financial analysis for complex Company projects such as the closure of facilities or other uncommon projects that arise during the course of business.
        • As required, supporting the direct reports in preliminary valuations or acquisition due diligence.
        • Reviewing all financial policy recommendations such as changes to the weighted average cost of capital, discount rates, capital authorization limits or annual capital expenditure targets.
        • Setting the strategic vision for how financial analyses will be performed.
      • Leads, manages, and directs the Corporate FP&A Group by allocating resources against the highest priority projects or analyses, ensuring they are completed on-time and with a high level of quality while providing coaching, advice, direction, mentoring and career development for team members.
      • Provides oversight, defines timelines, and prepares reporting packages for the Senior Leadership team on all company operating plans including the AOP, quarterly reforecasts and the 5-year plans. The incumbent is expected to have a deep understanding of each business, the key drivers to business performance and how the business strategy relates to financial performance.
      • Provides oversight on all commodity market and economic forecasts. These forecasts are used in annual operating plans, presentations to customers, and general business decisions such as pricing or promotions. The incumbent is expected to have a general understanding of all applicable markets and how the group’s forecasts support the Company. Builds strong relationships, proactively manages timelines and expectations for the team, and sets priorities and timelines. Effectively coordinates and collaborates with cross functional teams including, but not limited to, Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics and other cross functional or external partners.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Required:

      • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
      • 6+ years of Finance or related FP&A experience.
      • Must demonstrate a critical blend of strong enterprise strategic thinking and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
      • Well-developed business acumen.
      • Ability to influence, advise and manage across cross-functional players.
      • Ability to synthesize clearly and simplify the complex.
      • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and make ongoing decisions with key stakeholder input.
      • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to shape, elevate and move projects forward.
      • High emotional intelligence/IQ and strong relationship management skills.
      • Analytical and decision-making skills, including the ability to search and work-cross functionally to form recommendations.
      • Advanced Excel and modeling skills.
      • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

      Preferred

      • Experience in Finance, Accounting, Operations Research, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or the like.
      • Experience in the manufacturing or agriculture industry.
      • Advanced professional certification, such as, but not limited to an MBA, CMA, or CPA.
      • Experience in Revenue Management or CPG finance.
      • Experience using Consumption POS & Panel data (Circana, Nielsen).
