      Position Overview

      The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key contributor to the highly dynamic Siemens Healthineers North America (NAM) Finance Performance Controlling team. The role reports to Director, Finance (Performance Controlling – Closing & Financial Reporting) and contributes to a healthy team environment in a high-performance culture.

      The primary focus of this position will be on the NAM In-Vivo business closing, reporting and analysis processes, and will require interaction with key contacts in modality Business Areas, Customer Supply Chain Controlling, Service, and GL Accounting to ensure success.

      Responsibilities

      Specific responsibilities include the following:

      • Completion of key activities to support the monthly closing process, including:
        • Analysis of key accounts, and alignment with business stakeholders, to determine any required booking of needed accruals or adjustments.
        • Ensure compliance with key controls related to closing processes, and maintenance of required documentation to support these activities.
        • Perform critical trend and variance analyses during monthly close process, and support completion of P&L and Balance Sheet Analytics, identifying drivers of financial results, and providing validation that monthly financials are accurate prior to closing the books.
        • Interact with key Finance stakeholders in other areas of the business to derive commentary and bridge items as needed.
        • Develop account aging analyses as required as part of monthly submission for reporting.
      • As a trusted partner of the Controllers in Business Areas, Service and CSC, conduct monthly analysis of key financial positions, providing value-added assessment of drivers and KPI's, and aligning with these stakeholders to take any required actions.
      • Owner of the processes such as innovation funding and deferred revenue accounting from In-Vivo business
      • Develop financial models to streamline existing processes and enhance understanding of financial results and value flows.
      • Perform account reconciliations and deep dive analysis on balance sheet accounts, contribute to quarterly review meetings, monitor key balance sheet accounts to ensure no potential risks
      • Collaborate and engage with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, develop, and drive opportunities for digitalization and automation to streamline and simplify existing workflows
      • Perform ad hoc analysis and work on project teams as required.

      Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

      • 8+ years of successful experience in monthly close activities and various types of financial analysis within accounting or controlling
      • Applied experience and knowledge of IFRS
      • Strong technical SAP knowledge and experience in FICO module
      • Ability to interface with upper management and cross-functional colleagues in a professional manner
      • Solid professional judgment and problem-solving competence
      • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
      • Highly proficiency with Microsoft Excel, experience with Knime, Jedox, and power BI is desired
      • Proactively shares knowledge within own team and ability to cultivate a collaborative working environment
      • BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or related area, an MBA or CPA is preferred.
