What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research and guide proper GAAP accounting treatment for new programs or complex transactions involving grants
- Become a financial subject matter expert on new areas within the grants department
- Lead major financial-related projects, including software implementations and financial management of new grants
- Present reports and recommendations to Finance and Operational leadership on process improvements
- Assist with planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting as needed

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required
- At least 5 years' experience in the finance/accounting field preferred
- Experience with large companies and knowledge of grants is a plus
- Superior organizational skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience leading external audits
- Familiarity with advanced financial analysis and project management
- Knowledge of software implementations in a finance context
- Previous mentoring experience within a finance team
