Job Description

- Develop, enhance and monitor compliance of accounting policies and internal controls. Document and evaluate key controls over financial reporting and help facilitate implementation.
- Support Controller and Senior Director of Finance to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual closing process. Concurrently perform multiple assignments and special projects as assigned.
- Consolidation and development of multicurrency IFRS and GAAP monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Provide support and preparation of requested documents for financial statement, internal, regulatory, or other third-party audits.
- Journal entry preparation and review, general ledger review and maintenance, account reconciliation and variance analysis. Preparation and review of account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Research and analysis of complex non-routine accounting issues and interpretation of GAAP
- Oversight of fixed asset accounting, maintenance of capitalization policy and inventory of fixed assets.
- Oversight of inventory accounting including documentation of and improvement to current inventory accounting process. Monthly review of inventory activity and reconciliation of sub-ledger to the general ledger.
- Support external and internal audit function
- Participate in the completion of Federal and State tax reporting requirements (including income, property, sales and use, payroll and other local taxes), insurance reports and other reports.
- Requires a BS/BA in in Accounting
- CPA certification is required
- 5+ years relevant accounting experience including public accounting firm experience
- Experience managing staff
- Experience working in a global multinational company with US GAAP reporting requirements
- Experience with statutory reporting requirements such as IFRS and local GAAP
- Strong working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, J-SOX and the COSO internal control framework
- Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office including Advanced Level Excel, (pivot tables, v/h-lookup, sum-if, if-then statements, etc.).
- Great Plains and Management Reporter experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently, research accounting issues and handle several projects at once. Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Responsible for working with Finance Management to strengthen and make scalable KBI’s financial reporting, internal controls and accounting policies. Management of the month end close, general ledger and GAAP and IFRS reporting.
Requirements:
Salary Range: 93,000 - 120,000
Salary range provided per current averages and expectations. The salary and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
