- Develop and maintain advanced Angular 2+ applications, building custom components, directives, services, and pipes while adhering to industry best practices.
- Collaborate with UX designers, business analysts, and QA teams to refine user interfaces and deliver accessible and responsive designs compliant with Section 508 and WCAG AA standards.
- Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs, ensuring secure OAuth implementations and seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, implement Git branching strategies, and refactor existing code to improve maintainability, scalability, and performance.
- Optimize web application performance for cross-browser compatibility and accessibility, while staying up-to-date with Angular updates and applying new framework features like standalone components.
- U.S. Citizen with existing or the ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation
- 5+ years of professional JavaScript development experience
- Strong proficiency in Angular 2+ framework and TypeScript
- Experience with Git version control and collaborative development platforms (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket)
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design techniques
- Proficiency in Sass/SCSS for creating custom themes
- Experience with UI frameworks such as Bootstrap or Material Design
- Familiarity with RESTful API integration and OAuth implementation
- Strong understanding of web accessibility principles and WAI-ARIA
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with UX design tools (Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Proto.io, or Framer)
- Experience developing software for federal government projects
- Familiarity with screen readers, particularly Freedom Scientific JAWS
- Knowledge of React.js for potential multi-framework projects
- Proficiency in Angular 14+ features, including standalone components and signals
- Experience with ViewEncapsulation in Angular
- Strong background in RxJS and complex ReactiveForms implementation
- Experience with SAFe Agile framework
- Backend development experience, particularly with SQL databases or Nginx servers
- Java development experience, including familiarity with JSP and Jakarta EE (formerly J2EE)
- Understanding of modern Java frameworks and their integration with front-end technologies

About this position:
We are seeking a technical, self-motivated Senior Front-End Developer to join our team to support an essential modernization program for the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Federal Student Aid. As a member of our Agile development team, you will support several complex and high-volume customer systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building robust, accessible, and performant web applications for enterprise-level clients, including experience with federal government projects.
Salary Range: 125k - 146K - commensurate with an individual's experience, skills, and location
