What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in creating, maintaining, and performing GIS workflows including data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Develop, maintain, and report on GIS programs, web applications, and mobile data collection systems
- Identify operational issues by analyzing data from multiple systems and working with department supervisors
- Create dashboards, reports, and data stories that meet the requirements of various departments
- Perform ad-hoc data requests to support data-driven decision-making
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of four (4) years of related experience in GIS or data management
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Minimum of two (2) years working with data management tools such as SQL
- Must possess a valid Driver’s license
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with ESRI's suite of software, including ArcGIS desktop, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Portal
- Advanced computer and technical skills to operate various utility systems software
- Knowledge of metering and billing processes within electric utility distribution systems
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence Software and relational database fundamentals
