      The position
      As Senior Global Medical Director, you will support the early and cross functional projects within the Corporate Vice President area. You will be trusted to provide scientific and market-oriented medical input to trial design, protocol development, and investigator selection and assesses potential implications across the portfolio. The Global Medical Director will provide the knowledge background and framework to make decision in Global Medical Affairs and proactively develop and suggest directions for Global Medical Affairs.

      Your main responsibilities will be focused on:

      • Developing the Global Medical Affairs strategy for the relevant therapeutic areas including publication strategy building on new scientific insight and product development in alignment with the relevant stakeholders
      • Being responsible for scientific alignment and facilitating that scientific knowledge is appropriately communicated and understood internally and externally from global to local across the world
      • Representing global decision boards and cross functional groups and working closely with the Medical and Science Team Directors, Global Medical Affairs Leadership team, Global Brand Management and Novo Nordisk regions and affiliates
      • Acting as a liaison between Novo Nordisk and the scientific community and driving the scientific dialogue at international scientific meetings and conferences


      The position calls for a mature individual who can work as a strategic partner within interdisciplinary project teams and provide input to clinical development plans with a clinical and market perspective.

      Qualifications
      To be a competitive candidate, you should have:

      • Medical Doctor education with PhD (preferable) and/or degree related to Life Science
      • Strong clinical and/or research background in area of metabolic liver diseases, obesity, diabetes mellitus and other chronic metabolic diseases with interest in advanced scientific analysis and communication and experience in drug development
      • At least, 3 years of study or work experience in a country/affiliate as well as headquarter (preferable)
      • Additional education and experience in pharma business / marketing
      • Professional proficiency in English


      As a professional, you are extrovert, engaged, customer-oriented and a strong communicator. You are a team-player with good peer relationships; well-structured and perseverant; high integrity and good at solving problems; flexible attitude, willingness to travel and motivated for development; and strong presentation skills.

      Some worldwide travel could be needed.
