- Manages all aspects of our benefits programs for our US and Canadian team members, including claims resolution, processing changes, invoice management, benefits compliance, collaboration with our benefits broker, and serving as the primary point of contact for team member inquiries.
- Administer and oversee leave of absences, ensuring legal compliance, maintaining accurate records, supporting team members throughout the leave period, and partnering with managers to facilitate smooth transitions during absences.
- Coordinate the annual compensation and bonus review process, ensuring seamless execution.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, coordinating with legal counsel as necessary.
- Coordinate compliance training programs, including Sexual Harassment Prevention and other mandatory workplace training.
- Assist in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures and assists in the maintenance of the employee handbook and employee resource center.
- Support leaders in addressing employee relations issues, providing guidance and advice on how to handle workplace concerns, conflicts, or performance challenges. Under the direction of senior management, conduct employee relations counseling, mediation, and investigations, as well as handle employee grievances.
- Conduct stay and exit interviews as needed to gather feedback, understand team member experiences, and identify areas for improvement.
- Support People Operations projects and initiatives to enhance the team member experience and support leadership.
- Manage and execute core People Operations processes smoothly, ensuring team members feel supported and empowered throughout their experience, from benefits administration to compensation and compliance.
- Proactively identify and address gaps in current processes, driving improvements to enhance operational efficiency and scalability within the organization.
- Ensure People Operations documentation is accurate, accessible, and consistently updated, contributing to clarity and transparency across the company.
- Provide timely, clear, and supportive communication to team members and managers, particularly around benefits, compliance, and performance management issues.
- •Maintain up-to-date People Operations systems and ensure all compliance documentation is secure and readily accessible.
- •Demonstrate attention to detail in every aspect of the role, ensuring accuracy and consistency in processes, documentation, and communication.
- Continually learn and stay updated on People Operations trends, best practices, and changes in employment laws to improve efficiency and address challenges.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contributing to the success of People Operations initiatives and being adaptable to new challenges and projects as they arise.
- Perform other People Ops work as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and five (5) years of work experience in HR roles focusing on benefits, compliance, or compensation.
- Previous experience as the sole HR associate or as a member of a small cross-functional HR team within an organization is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legal compliance (federal and state).
- Solid experience with HRIS systems, with Paylocity and Deltek experience preferred.
- Prior experience in employee relations, compliance, HRIS management, and benefits administration.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
- Unwavering discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong self-management skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience assisting in delivering HR programs and processes, including workforce planning, performance reviews, and talent development.

Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
