What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage immigration cases, including drafting and submitting petitions for employer-sponsored visa processes such as H-1B
- Advise and educate hiring departments and employees on immigration regulations and policies
- Maintain compliance with USCIS regulations and manage employee data in various internal systems
- Serve as primary contact for J-1 Scholars and assist with program coordination
- Conduct outreach and maintain immigration-related information on the UAMS website

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree plus four (4) years of immigration advising, international student or scholar advising, and/or paralegal experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong attention to detail and superior research and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree
- Prior experience drafting and filing H-1B petitions
- Experience with immigration regulations for J-1 research scholars and permanent residence processes
- Familiarity with Workday, SEVIS, and immigration case management systems
- Experience working in a higher education setting
