      We are currently recruiting for a permanent and a 6-month fixed- term Senior Internal Communications Manager to be a part of our Group Employee Communications team and help our people in this business connect to our purpose, live our values, and become advocates for Aviva.

You will proactively develop, implement, and deliver a dynamic employee communications programme for UK Life, focused on helping people understand the UK & Ireland Life strategy and driving employee engagement by building employee pride and brand advocacy.

      A bit about the job:

      As the Senior Internal Communications Manager for UK & Ireland Life, you'll report to the Head of UK & Ireland Life Employee Communications, acting as their deputy as needed, working closely to deliver a One Aviva communications approach across the Life business.

      You will collaborate with the Employee Communications team to make sure our engagement campaigns, content, channels (including Workvivo, our new employee communications platform) and events drive maximum employee engagement with our people. Along with understanding the latest trends and standard methodology – with a particular focus on enabling two-way conversation and driving employee engagement. Proactively supporting Executive Teams with best-in-class engagement and employee communications support is important for the role. As you'll be their first point of contact and quickly become a trusted adviser, building rapport, taking briefs, and understanding complex issues.

      Skills and experience we’re looking for:

      • Excellent experience in employee/internal communications – within financial services.

      • Be comfortable working with and be highly skilled in providing advice to senior business leaders and adept at building trust quickly and retaining it through time.

      • Experience with delivering successful engagement campaigns, overseeing a best-in class channel mix, including digital channels.

      • Be an exemplary teammate, at their best when working within a collective to deliver a shared vision. Capable of building relationships fast and inspiring confidence in all around them.

      • Enjoy being an inspiring leader of people; able to lead by example and to inspire your team and help with improving their own professional output.

      • Salary between circa £70,000 - £80,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)

      • Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
