      !*!

Welcome to Daimler Trucks and Buses! We always strive to advance all those who keep the world moving. Transport is the backbone of our economy and modern life. Without transport, factories would no longer be able to produce anything, supermarkets would not be able to sell products and travel would be unimaginable for people.

Developments such as digitalisation, autonomous driving and e-mobility represent a fundamental transformation of the transport sector, which is constantly presenting new challenges. To ensure a successful future, we rely on close and trusting cooperation – both with our customers and with our globally active team of highly competent and motivated employees.

Would you like to experience the fascination of our industry as part of our team and actively contribute to the success of Daimler Trucks and Buses?

We, the team of the Truck Aftersales Portal, are responsible for the IT system landscape of the Daimler Trucks Aftersales activities across the corporation. This includes IT product and application management for vehicle intake in service, parts information, repair information, integration into retail systems, and workshop processes. We operate globally across all sales channels and collaborate with a variety of internal departments and external partners.

On our AWS cloud platform, we develop and integrate service-oriented architectures and orchestrate them. We strive to use free and open-source software (FOSS) and make the functions of our applications accessible through interfaces. Whenever possible, we adopt a flexible approach and utilize a DevOps mindset.

Who are we? Our team consists of nine highly motivated and friendly colleagues who are looking forward to your support. We value direct and regular communication on equal footing. Additionally, we strive to treat each other constructively and honestly.

Are you interested in taking responsibility for one or more IT products? Do you want to help us finalize our IT Aftersales strategy with our new systems? Then apply to join our team and look forward to an exciting time in which you will learn a lot and take on real responsibility!

      These challenges await you:

      • You are responsible for designing and creating cross-system solutions for our Aftersales products, in coordination with the department and in collaboration with the adjacent IT areas and systems

      • You provide technical and professional support to the departments and actively drive the design of solutions in the form of products or services

      • You manage the agile development of our IT products using the SCRUM methodology (including converting new requirements into user stories and evaluating them)

      • You define your own services and integrate third-party services to create innovative/interactive solutions

      • You plan and deploy systems in international rollouts and ensure operational stability

      • You develop sustainable support, operational, and further development models and implement them operationally

      • Budget planning and control, as well as quality assurance and cost control, also fall under your responsibility

      • This also includes selecting and managing internal and external service providers

      • You support the management in evaluating solutions and prepare the decisions process

      !*!

      Your qualifications:

      • Completed degree (computer science, business informatics, media informatics or similar) or equivalent qualification

      • Experience in an agile environment, e.g., as a Scrum Master or Technical Product Owner

      • Thorough knowledge and experience in specification, planning, and implementation of IT projects as well as common programming languages (e. g., Java, HTML5, JavaScript, SQL)

      • Experience in agile software development projects, modern software architectures and database design, the software development life cycle, IT infrastructures and governance

      • Thorough IT knowledge and familiarity with modern IT technologies (cloud, APIs, web services, database technologies, etc.)

      • Custom development based on modern application stacks (Azure, AWS, K8S)

      • Several years of experience in agile development and operation models (e. g. DevOps)

      • Good knowledge of German or English in written and spoken communication

      Personal skills:

      • You have strong communication skills and dedication

      • You are results-oriented, able to work independently with a strong focus on teamwork

      • You possess excellent conceptual and analytical skills
