      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Execute digitization tasks and fulfill patron digitization requests, including tracking original materials and delivering files
      - Prepare digital materials for upload to preservation storage and public repositories by creating access derivatives and descriptive metadata
      - Perform basic web archiving tasks, including quality assurance and logging crawls
      - Assist researchers by staffing the Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) reference desk
      - Support the digital strategy of the Division through high-quality digitization and metadata creation

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma/GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study
      - Demonstrated ability to execute workflows and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
      - Comfort following best practices for handling rare materials, including paper-based items and audiovisual records
      - Proficiency with office productivity suites, particularly spreadsheet programs
      - Clear written and verbal communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Previous work experience in a cultural heritage institution (e.g., library, archives, museum)
      - Interest in emerging technology trends related to digitization and digital preservation
      - Experience with library systems and archives databases
      - Familiarity with best practices for digital accessibility and ethical standards for libraries
      - Interest in developing skills related to command line tools and basic scripting
