      About the Role

      The Sr. Operations Manager - East is responsible for maintaining an inspiring, clean, and safe workplace for our East HQ Hub locations. This critical role, based in New York City, will oversee multiple Workplace Experience areas, including but not limited to, maintenance, engineering, mail services, and other vendor relationships. The Sr. Manager East will demonstrate curiosity to continuously assess and identify operational improvements to enhance the customer-centric experience.

      What You'll Do

      • Develop, lead, and manage teams in multiple locations, ensuring high performance and exceptional service delivery, including oversight of outsourced service providers.
      • Ownership of the cost and quality of operational/facilities work assigned to direct reports or vendors through FacilityOne service request platform and departmental mailbox. This includes but is not limited to, janitorial, painting requests, vending/water dispensers, assistance with moving fixtures, etc.
      • Owns invoice purchase order processing in Oracle for vendors that are under the East areas of responsibility.
      • Leverages industry best practices to establish benchmarks for operational/workplace processes.
      • Sound knowledge of concepts and procedures specific to facilities/workplace management and a solid understanding of the procedures in other relevant areas such as procurement, security, reception, and event management/support.
      • Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners, including Global Events, Asset Protection, and Communications, to achieve targeted results and support key initiatives.
      • Clear understanding of the company's global business strategies and priorities and relates the big picture to areas of responsibility and to direct reports.
      • Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions to the Workplace Experience leadership team.
      • Build strong relationships with local senior executive leaders, including the CEO.
      • Continuously review and refine departmental processes to enhance efficiency and scalability across multiple locations, ensuring consistent and high-quality service.
      • Leverage previous experience to proactively identify issues and provide innovative solutions and actionable suggestions to enhance service delivery for all areas of responsibility.
      • Responsible for end results of their team and shares out during scheduled QBR’s.
      • Assist with key on-site events such as sample sales, Board of Directors, and town halls, which may require after-hours or weekend support.
      • Act as liaison between the company and building management/landlord for leased locations.
      • Represents Workplace Experience on the NYC Hub Business Continuity Emergency Response Team.
      • Partners with Facilities Planning Sr. Project Manager to ensure project success and is responsible for operational project tasks as they arise.
      • Take on stretch assignments as directed by the manager, demonstrating curiosity flexibility and a willingness to contribute to various projects.
      • Occasional travel required.

      Who You Are

      • 5-10 years minimum facilities-related experience in a top corporate workplace environment.
      • Must have exceptional communication and presentation skillset to guide, influence, and convince others.
      • Degree in Management (or equivalent experience). CoreNet, BOMA, or IFMA certification is a plus.
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritizing and adapting appropriately.
      • Be self-accountable. Strive always to meet or exceed the performance standard.
      • Diligence is a must. Candidate should ensure attention to detail when creating or monitoring processes and requests.
      • Curiosity is welcome and encouraged. Demonstrates ability to brainstorm with the Workplace Experience leadership team, offering ideas and alternate solutions to improve the overall HQ Hub experience.
      • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
      • Strong technical, organizational, and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
      • Ability to schedule and prioritize workload effectively.
      • Thorough working knowledge of facilities, workplace experience management, mailroom, and event support preferred.
      • Expertise with financial accounting and budgeting.
      • Excellent problem-solving ability.
      • Expertise with Microsoft Office applications required, with experience in other service request management applications a plus.
      • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
      • Prior experience supervising and managing people and contractors.
