Job Description

- Formulating and analysing requirements to develop engineering solutions.
- Creating effective engineering work plans and schedules, including planning your activities.
- Providing detailed mechanical engineering designs to meet project timescales.
- Ensuring the creation and capture of all required engineering documentation.
- Integrating mechanical designs with other project deliverables.
- Ensuring designs comply with regulatory standards and are formally verified.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including operations, product management, service engineering, and regulatory and compliance.
- A passion for mentoring graduate and junior engineers.
- Work collaboratively and inclusively as part of One Team.
- Demonstrate self-leadership, taking responsibility for tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Actively contribute to team discussions and decisions, sharing ideas transparently.
- Anticipate risks, escalate issues, and drive activities to completion.
- Adapt to changing priorities and approach challenges with a positive attitude.
- Serve as an escalation point for difficult problems, offering imaginative solutions.
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
- At least 6 years of working experience in a Research and Development team, preferably in a regulated/medical environment
- Chartered/Incorporated Membership of the IMechE.
- Experience in the following areas is required:
- Stress Analysis
- Bolt Calculation
- Experience across an entire product development life cycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
