      NVIDIA's Cloud data centers host ground-breaking products across high-performance computing to machine learning applications for autonomous vehicles and healthcare. At the heart of our data centers is the ability to engineer mechanical and electrical designs in close coupling to NVIDIA's industry-leading GPU and DGX products. We are seeking a Data Center Senior Mechanical Facility Design Engineer to support the design and deployment of our high-performance data centers and production facilities.

      What you’ll be doing:

      • Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to identify and establish requirements for our next-generation data centers mechanical and facility requirements including the selection of appropriate cooling equipment, RFI, turnover documentation, products road maps to align with current and future Nvidia data center and manufacturing facility requirements.

      • Responsible for taking designs from concept to the permit, and defining critical equipment specifications, and Review and approval of equipment submittals.

      • Development of DCs and production mechanical facility designs and collaboration with other subject areas to build a construction document set.

      • Work with commissioning teams to accurately validate installation, operation, and performance of the cooling systems. And Review facility cooling commissioning scripts and final commissioning reports to ensure they accurately test all modes of operations.

      • Engage and collaborate with internal and 3rd party teams and engineers of record to enable outstanding design and product lifecycle management, driving root cause analysis, corrective actions, and risk assessments.

      • Prepare documentation including Statements of work (SOW), total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, conceptual designs, factory witness test and acceptance documents.

      • At least (20%) of international travel.

      What we need to see:

      • BS or MS in ME or equivalent experience with 8+ years professional experience in data center design, deploy and construction.

      • Knowledge of buildings codes, regulations, and standards including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, ASHRAE, and OSHA.

      • Having excellent interpersonal and leadership and problem-solving skills will be critical: success depends on building rapport and credibility with multiple partner teams across the organization.

      • Understanding mechanical design and operational changes with high power rack densities cooling requirements, experience with facility installation, bring up, testing, commissioning, and all related activities.

      • Solid understanding of mechanical airside, waterside, and control systems, EPMS, building and IT monitoring protocols, data analysis, and reporting for mission-critical environments and various data center HVAC topologies.

      • Proficiency in software packages for design and mechanical systems analysis, CAD (Creo), LabVIEW, and CFD analysis software.

      Ways to stand out from the crowd:

      • Solid understanding and experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems.

      • Professional engineering license.

      • Experienced working in a leased colocation data center environment.

      • Supporting build-to-suit data center projects.

      • Track record with delivering high availability and strategic initiatives in sophisticated, global environments.

      • Knowledge of networking & structured cabling distribution.

      The base salary range is $176,000 - $327,750. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
