      Position Overview

      We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll and Benefits Specialist to manage and ensure the efficient and accurate processing of payroll and benefits for employees in the UK and Ireland. This role will also play a role in collaborating on the payroll processes in other EMEA countries. The successful candidate will be well versed in payroll legislation, benefits administration, and global mobility considerations. This role will also involve liaising with various cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliance with local laws and international regulations for mobile employees.



      Responsibilities

      Payroll Processing:

      • Manage and process monthly payrolls for employees in the UK and Ireland.
      • Proactively manage and review payroll changes and compensation elements. Perform robust reconciliation activities for each payroll cycle.
      • Oversee accurate reporting and payment of taxes, social security, and other statutory contributions (including the UK Apprenticeship Levy).
      • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers to ensure smooth and timely payroll operations, including timely and accurate payroll disbursements and deductions.
      • Actively identify new ways to improve and streamline payroll processes across EMEA, with a continuous improvement mindset. Work with external service providers to ensure greater efficiency in processing and reporting.
      • This role will also have collaboration, review and back up processing responsibilities for the other EMEA payroll processes.

      Compliance & Reporting:

      • Ensure compliant payroll processes that align with local employment laws, tax regulations, internal policies, and applicable internal control frameworks.
      • Prepare and submit statutory reports, including HMRC (UK) and Revenue (Ireland) filings.
      • Stay current with legislative changes affecting payroll, benefits, and taxation in the UK and Ireland.
      • Perform regular audits of payroll and benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

      Benefits Administration:

      • Administer employee benefit programs, including pensions, health insurance, ESPP and other company benefits for UK and Irish employees.
      • Ensure benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations are processed accurately and on time.
      • Administer and manage employee Leaves of Absences.
      • Collaborate with external benefit providers to resolve issues.

      Global Mobility:

      • Manage the payroll implications of globally mobile employees including:
      • Long-term incentives such as stock appreciation rights, RSUs,
      • Ensure compliance with local and international tax obligations, and
      • Collaborate with global mobility teams, tax advisors, and legal teams to address tax, social security, and reporting considerations.

      Stakeholder Collaboration:

      • Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure accurate compensation and benefits processing.
      • Provide support for annual audits, both internal and external.
      • Serve as the key point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries, resolving issues and providing excellent employee experience at every step of the employee journey.


      Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
      • 8+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, with a focus on the UK and Ireland. Knowledge of other EMEA countries is strongly preferred.
      • In depth knowledge of UK and Irish payroll legislation and benefits compliance, including experience with GDPR.
      • Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems; Workday and Activ Payroll preferred.
      • Strong understanding of global mobility and long-term incentive programs.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
      • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
      • Payroll certification or equivalent qualifications.
      • Experience working in multinational companies with globally mobile employees.
