      Job summary

      The Senior Performance Manager is a key member of the children's team and is responsible for supporting all aspects of Childrens performance improvement, reporting and development of improvement plans. The Senior Performance Manager will support the Head of Children's Services in developing the Operational Plan and Joint Forward Plan on behalf of the ICB regarding children and young people.

      The Senior Performance Manager will support the delivery of children's transformation programmes at Gateway 3 and beyond through engagement with the senior leadership and managerial, clinical colleagues and stakeholders and may be called upon to present at the Health and Care Improvement Group for Children.

      Main duties of the job

      The Senior Performance Manager will lead on designated areas of work within the children's team and will ensure that workstreams and programmes are planned and carried out effectively.

      The post holder will be responsible for: managing members of the Children's Team who lead on specific areas of work i.e. mental health or trauma informed care.

      The Senior Performance Manager will support the Head of Children's Services to develop and manage the team's annual business plan, progress and dashboard reporting and risk and issue management across the system. They will also be responsible for managing the appropriate corporate business returns, including planning associated with Children and develop and implement a content management.

      The post holder will be responsible for: managing the Project Manager (Framework for Integrated Care) and Systems Manager (Trauma-informed Care) and support the Head of Children's Services to develop and manage the team's annual business plan, progress and dashboard reporting and risk and issue management across the system. Manage the appropriate corporate business returns, including planning associated with Children. Develop and implement a content management.

      Working within the overall operational plan, devise, implement and monitor the plan regarding children and young people in their designated areas of responsibility.

      • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
      • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent.
      • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development.
      • Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.
      • Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health, NHSE, the ICB and individual provider organisations.
