What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate existing policies and regulations related to the Indian Health Service (IHS) and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for EHR modernization efforts
- Provide expert policy and regulatory advice impacting healthcare operations within federal healthcare systems
- Facilitate communication between federal agencies, tribal health organizations, and stakeholders for policy considerations
- Conduct in-depth research on healthcare policies and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic policy frameworks addressing operational challenges
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, health policy, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of healthcare leadership experience, preferably in direct patient care organizations
- Proven experience in Indian Health Service operations and Health and Human Services policy implementation
- Strong expertise in healthcare operations, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Direct experience with enterprise EHR implementation or modernization initiatives
- Knowledge of tribal healthcare systems and community needs
