      Overview

      About the Role

      The Customer Experience team is growing in order to support EHI's strategic objective to create an unmatched customer experience. By listening to and designing for our customers, we will partner with Product, IT, Marketing and Operations teams to deliver a low-touch, frictionless rental process, ensuring the principles of personalization, empathy, control and transparency are reflected in our service delivery.

      The Senior Product Designer envisions and crafts the interactions customers and employees have with EHI digital products and brings the experience to life in a way that feels inspired, refined and delightful. The Senior Product Designer leads the creation and optimization of digital product features through wireframes and conceptual prototypes as well as detailed design artifacts. This position also applies and contributes to the design system to ensure consistent, usable, and accessible experiences within the product ecosystem.

      Responsibilities

      • Translate conceptual designs and experience maps into user flows and digital prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences and drive business results
      • Design detailed flows and digital interfaces that are simple, effective, and elegant and help establish guidelines for components in software such as Figma, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite products, etc.
      • Partner closely with product and development teams as well as stakeholders to find effective but practical solutions to design problems within product requirements and user stories
      • Proactively recommend enhancements to product and design artifacts through knowledge of brand standards, heuristics, accessibility, and other best practices
      • Collaborate with other designers on products to ensure the design system is utilized effectively and that contributions are governed with quality and thoroughly reviewed
      • Participate in design validation research to understand consumer needs, opportunities and pain points to continually inform an iterative design
      • Mentor and coach members of the design team on industry and best practices and provide constructive feedback on design deliverables
      • Effectively communicate design deliverables, and design rationale both verbally and visually to stakeholders, product teams, users, and leadership teams
      • Stay current on tools, principles and practices in product design, interaction models and drive for continuous improvement to design patterns and systems

      Qualifications

      Minimum:

      • Must have a Bachelor's Degree
        • A degree in Design, New Media, Interaction Design, UX, or related field is preferred
      • Must have 4 or more years of experience in product design, web design, UI/UX design and/or art direction with a focus on web and mobile digital products
      • Must have 4 or more years of experience with developing low- and high- fidelity prototypes for user testing
      • Must have 4 or more years of experience with visual and digital design tools such as Axure, Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, HTML/CSS or similar
      • Familiarity with human-centered design methodology and inclusive design principles preferred
      • Must have a strong portfolio of demonstrated visual design aptitude – a great sense for color, form, typography and other interactive design elements that can be presented for review
      • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Four or more years leading collaborative teams through human-centered design processes
