Job Description

- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain innovative solutions using order management system and its integrations with the eCommerce engine, warehouse management system (WMS), call center systems, and external systems/partners
- Understand business opportunity and analyze business requirements
- Design solutions that comply with technology architecture guidelines and prepare technical design documents
- Ensure that the solution adheres to specifications and addresses business needs
- Implement the solution with the help of software engineers when needed
- Test the system and coordinate during integration test and user acceptance test cycles
- Coordinate the implementation of the new solution, change management and end user training
- Research and implement new system functionality and standard business processes to improve efficiency
- Work with third party service providers on integrations between their systems and Balsam’s systems
- Act as a technology subject matter expert and point of contact for business and product management teams
- Participate in sprint planning process and prepare estimates
- Research issues/tickets reported by operations and customer service teams and provide solution within SLA
- Provide administrative support for OMS platform, including managing user access, permission adjustments, page layouts, and other configurable system settings
- Bachelor’s degree in management information systems (MIS), Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of systems analyst experience in order management or supply chain management
- Experience with IBM Sterling OMS is mandatory
- Knowledge of other order management systems, such as Manhattan, Oracle, Magento, NetSuite, etc., supply chain technologies including Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), or any Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) is highly desired. Experience with EDI as well as customer service platforms such as Gladly and IBM Sterling Call Center, or similar systems, as well as knowledge of customer service technologies such as chat bot, call routing, queue management, etc. is also desirable.
- Working knowledge of retail distribution center operations/processes, including receiving, picking/packing, cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and distribution center applications is an added advantage
- Experience in leading cross functional teams for problem solving, design discussions etc.
- Strong experience of documenting technical design
- Excellent analytical skills with experience of using data to answer questions and solve problems
- Experience with agile methodology and tools like JIRA, Confluence etc.
- Effective communication skills to work with both business and technical team members from entry level to executive level
- Ability to think outside-the-box and provide creative solutions

Job Description
As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will work with Balsam’s Operations Team, Customer Service Team, Product Management Team, and Technical Development Team. You will maintain and enhance the order management system (OMS), customer service management system (CSMS) and ancillary systems integrated with the OMS and CSMS. You will work with product managers to distill business requirements into technical requirements. You will create technical design documents based on those requirements and implement solutions. You will work with software engineers when custom development is necessary. We are looking for someone who has OMS and CSMS experience and understands the functional aspects of order lifecycle, inventory management, fulfillment optimization, customer service, etc.
This full-time position reports to the Manager of Systems Analysis and is expected to work in a hybrid model, which currently includes Tuesday and Wednesday in the Boise office.
