What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate within Agile and SDLC project teams to support product development
- Conduct security authorization activities and obtain Authorization to Operate (ATO) as per NIST guidelines
- Manage vulnerabilities and conduct technology evaluations to assess existing controls
- Document and implement security controls and generate necessary system documentation
- Participate in risk assessments and monitor compliance initiatives

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience in the Information Security (Cybersecurity or Information Assurance) field
- Recognized IT security certification, such as Security+ or CISSP
- Proficiency in developing and managing security authorization and assessment packages
- Knowledge of Federal security regulations and experience with FISMA and NIST standards
- Strong problem-solving, analysis, and communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with DevSecOps and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
- Technical expertise in vulnerability scans and mitigation techniques
- Experience writing security-related policies and procedures
- Familiarity with maintaining security packages in Governance, Risk, and Compliance tools
