What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Create and maintain project work plans and resource estimates; monitor milestones and budget/resource use
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison to clients or funding agency leadership
- Provide project progress and budget reports to principal investigators, Program Directors, and funders
- Lead the development of project management standards, tools, processes, and best practices
- Mentor Project Coordinators and Associates, providing guidance and support to project management activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (public health, quantitative social science, or management) with ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience managing projects
- PMP certification or equivalent
- Experience in managing large teams working toward complex goals
- Strong organizational, planning, supervisory, and mentoring skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience managing government grants and contracts for research
- Non-profit experience
- Understanding of biostatistical, technical programming, and clinical issues related to healthcare research
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
