What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide consulting expertise on complex utility accounting and tax matters, focusing on utility cost-of-service rate outcomes
- Lead a consulting team to identify issues related to accounting and tax in utility cost of service and regulatory proceedings
- Prepare expert testimony for disputes, regulatory protests, and litigation support for public power and consumer-owned utilities
- Simplify complex accounting and tax concepts related to cost of service for clients
- Conduct regulatory, accounting, and tax research to support positions and mentor analytical support staff

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in utility accounting, with a focus on ratemaking and utility cost of service concepts
- Experience with FERC and/or state utility regulations
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Strong income tax experience, including knowledge of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and the Inflation Reduction Act (2022)
- Testimony experience or similar experience communicating technical positions in writing
- Experience conducting audits or investigations related to utility cost of service matters
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Experience in natural gas utilities
