- Perform highly complex activities related to creation, implementation and documentation
- Use highly complex statistical theory to quantify, analyze and manage markets
- Forecast losses and compute capital requirements providing insights, regarding a wide array of business initiatives
- Utilize structured securities and provide expertise on theory and mathematics behind the data
- Manage market, credit, and operational risks to forecast losses and compute capital requirements
- Participate in the discussion related to analytical strategies, modeling and forecasting methods
- Identify structure to influence global assessments, inclusive of technical, audit and market perspectives
- Collaborate and consult with regulators, auditors and individuals that are technically oriented and have excellent communication skills
- 4+ years of Quantitative Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
4+ years of financial industry experience
Experience managing projects from end-to-end
Experience leading teams, directly or indirectly, to define and solve complex problems
Experience and ability to demonstrated first-hand knowledge in several of these areas: data analytics, modeling, statistical inference, computing, big data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (machine learning, natural language processing, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences including non-quantitative colleagues in a concise and clear fashion that meets their needs
Strong interpersonal skills with experience interacting with stakeholders including senior management and governance personnel in model development and mitigating model risk
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
Excellent programing skills and demonstrated ability to code in SQL and develop numerical algorithms in at least one of the following languages: Python, R, SAS, Scala/Spark, Java, or C/C++
Strong skills with the following Machine learning theory/techniques (Random Forest, GBM, neural networks, Logistic regression or General Linear Models); NLP theory/techniques, Data wrangling/Feature engineering with SQL, Python, or R; and experience with b ig data platforms, tools, or concepts: Hadoop, Map Reduce, PySpark, or Hive
Hands on experience with Google Vertex AI/ML platform or Microsoft Azure AI/ML platform
- 1+ years of data and analytics experience in commercial banking such as middle market banking, treasury management, ABLL
- Strong understanding of Commercial Banking data and products
- Hands on familiarity with machine learning and statistical modeling techniques applying machine learning techniques such as neural networks, random forest, GBM and SVM, Probabilistic Graphical Models, Deep Learning architectures, using open-source languages like Python, PySpark, PyTorch
- Hands on experience with deep learning toolkits such as Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, Dynet
- Hands on experience with Google Vertex AI/ML platform or Microsoft Azure AI/ML platform
- Hands on experience writing data processing and data pipeline for model development including gathering and building datasets to collect intents, joining and aggregating source datasets, cleaning messy data, designing feedback loop on data need
- Hands on experience with model development lifecycle management, model governance requirements, model validation requirements. Experienced with model risk management policy and requirements. Strong collaboration with model governance, model validation, and corporate model risk oversight groups.
