  Major tasks and responsibilities of position (max. 8 key topics)
  '1. Responsible for new product development projects, which include lab hand casting, up-scaling in production, product characterization, specification drafting and customer feedback tracking.
  2. Support the transfer of new processes from lab/pilot plant to production plants and support implementation (hand over to production staff).
  3. Take responsibility for formulation technology-related to product decisions, and provide technical advice for Sales technical team with APAC level.
  4. Capable of managing multiple tasks, working effectively with more than one lab researcher, interfacing with other functions such as manufacturing and research personnel, interfacing directly with customers if needed.
  5. Keep network with internal and external experts on modern chemical and process technologies.
  6. Monitoring performance of the team according to the set targets, providing timely feedback.
  7.Evaluating new raw materials to secure the supply, formulations and laboratory methods in strategic key industries..
  8.Ensure adoption of state-of-the-art technologies and development concepts as well as adherence to quality standards and approvability.
  
  Value added to the success of the company

  '1. Knowledge of common laboratory procedures and skill and mechanical aptitude in handling laboratory equipment as well as modifying/adapting laboratory equipment for specific development programs.
  2. Design and efficiently provide the synthesis of innovative chemistry to allow the development of technical routes for production.
  3. Work together with production, product management. Assistant Head of Innovation TPU APAC to manage day to day business.
  4. Support business development with sales team in several regions, such as Taiwan, China and India.
  5. With good ability of project execution.
  6. Ability to multi-task while working independently with occasional supervision.
  
  Work relations: List the most important work relationships with internal and external partners/customers

  Internal:
  1. Regional Business/Sales development.
  2. Production/technical department.
  3. Different regional of RD team (Dormagen, ZHH, Cuddalore, DCP JP).

  External:
  1. Customers, 2. Academia, 3. Industry Research Partner.

  Qualifications: Education, skills, experiences and personal characteristics necessary for success in this position

  • Master. in Chemistry or closely related.
  • Knowledge of respective chemistry, processing, structure property relationship.
  • Knowledge in safety, quality management, IP management.
  • Project management skills.
  • English: fluent (speaking and writing).
  • Minimum 1 years working experience in Polymer side is more prefer.
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment and follow safe work practices (e.g. with chemicals).
  • Strong software and research skills.
