What will you do?

In your role as a Renewables Contract Manager, you will have the incredible opportunity to work in a diverse international setting and unleash the commercial value of our existing portfolio of renewable assets. As a professional, your main responsibilities will revolve around managing long-term contractual relations with selective key customers, primarily in the UK, German and Dutch markets. This role will allow you to actively engage with a broad stakeholder community, both internally and externally, empowering you to enhance your knowledge and expertise in the dynamic world of renewable energy markets.

Your key responsibilities

Within Vattenfall as the Renewables Contract Manager you have the following key responsibilities:

• You are responsible for lifecycle management of our existing customer contracts and related fulfillment of services
• You lead implementation of new services, as well as the general onboarding of new agreements
• You oversee developments in the markets and drive potential amendments in the contract or possible resulting claims together with our Origination desk
• You leverage optimization opportunities in partnership structures and corporate offtake structures
• You ensure a learning organization in between contractual agreements and towards new projects in the Vattenfall renewables asset pipeline
• You maintain and improve services and related processes that are linked to the contract suite
• You monitor regulatory changes and impacts on our contracts

Qualifications

Your skills and experience

We are looking for a candidate with the following knowledge and background:

• Proper understanding of energy market and the renewables corporate PPA market especially
• Relevant work experience of at least 2 years and network in the energy sector
• Business and sales acumen towards key accounts
• University degree in relevant discipline, such as industrial engineering or business administration
• Solid stakeholder management (including related customer interaction)
• Team player with excellent communication skills and solution orientation
• Fluent in English, written and verbal
• Last, but certainly not least, you are committed and passionate about making the zero carbon future happen

Business Area (BA) Markets’ role in Vattenfall is to maximize the value of the overall portfolio by optimizing and dispatching, hedging and sourcing for Vattenfall's sales and generation volumes. We serve as Vattenfall’s single access to energy commodity markets and trade electricity, emissions, fuels, freight, and renewable certificates. We employ around 500 professionals who are active across Europe with offices in Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Within Markets BU Customers is enabling both Vattenfall and our customers to become fossil free. We do this by offering power purchase agreements to operators of wind or solar parks and by connecting customers to fossil free electricity. We provide market access services to large customers and (regional) energy suppliers and connect demand-side flexibility of industry to stabilize the electricity grid. We furthermore source electricity for Vattenfall’s consumer- and business customers with a strong focus to increase renewable sources of electricity.
