What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Independently develop and pursue a research program in areas such as health, mental health, and substance use
- Collaborate with other PIRE scientists on projects of mutual interest
- Write grant and proposal applications for funding from agencies such as NIH and SAMHSA
- Disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed journal articles and professional presentations
- Provide training and technical assistance in health-related areas to states and communities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- An advanced degree (e.g., M.D., Ph.D., J.D.) or equivalent experience
- At least ten years of experience in a relevant professional research environment
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop a research program
- Established record of obtaining peer-reviewed funding alone or in collaboration with others
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required prior to beginning work
