What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct legal, empirical, and policy research and analysis
- Draft, edit, and track various research publications, including academic papers and presentations
- Participate in CA Institute meetings and represent the institute at external meetings
- Collaborate with other Principal Investigators on designing and executing new research proposals
- Assist with the development of grant proposals for external funding

What is Required (Qualifications):
- JD required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in rigorous empirical research (quantitative and/or qualitative)
- Demonstrated research experience and interest in juvenile justice, health policy, and related fields
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional MPH, MPP, PhD, or MA in a related field is strongly preferred
- Track record as a Principal Investigator or co-Principal Investigator
- Experience working with underserved and vulnerable populations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with research applications like Canva and Zotero
