      Where You’ll be Working

      Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for the provision of health services to the local government area. The WSLHD has individual facilities located at Westmead, Cumberland, Auburn, Blacktown and Mount Druitt.

      All hospitals provide a range of both in-patient and outpatient services to clients both from within the boundaries of the WSLHD and cross border flows.

      What You’ll be Doing

      The primary purpose of the Senior Resident Medical Officer – Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G SRMO) position is to learn about and then provide quality obstetric and gynaecological care to patients in a complex clinical environment whilst developing higher professional maturity and professionalism. If the O&G SRMO wishes to, the SRMO can expect to achieve the requirements of the Certificate of Women’s Health (CWH) or the RANZCOG Diploma as set out by RANZCOG.

      1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
      2. Must be PGY3 or greater
      3. Please list your research experience including posters/publications and presentation.
      4. Please list your experience in clinical governance (ie audits or hospital committee representative etc). Please demonstrate how you have been involved in teaching and leadership roles
      5. Please describe what further education and professional development you have sought in the field of obstetrics and gynecology (this can include courses/conference or online education resources)
      6. Please describe your willingness to participate in the overtime roster (including night roster), and willingness to rotate between district and rural hospitals
      7. Have you started the PVP/DRANZCOG? When did you commence it? Why are you doing it?
      8. Please list your medical experience to date. Specifically comment on your experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (weeks, hospital)
