What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing within assigned territory for group sizes of 10-5,000
- Develop new agent, broker, and consultant relationships within the assigned territory
- Educate new and existing brokers through proactive meetings, presentations, and calls
- Establish and conduct appointments with C-level decision makers to present solutions
- Manage sales processes and metrics utilizing the employer's CRM system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of outside sales experience in healthcare or employee benefits
- Demonstrated achievement in developing a sales territory and meeting sales metrics
- Experience forming new client/customer relationships through various outreach methods
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and current auto insurance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Demonstrated success in owning/managing a territory with knowledge of the employee benefits industry
- Possesses applicable insurance license(s) or ability to obtain license(s) within 60 days of hire
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- High level of industry knowledge in healthcare and ancillary products
