What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct security authorization and assessment activities to obtain Authorization to Operate (ATO) in accordance with NIST guidelines
- Manage vulnerabilities and perform risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing of systems
- Document and implement security controls using NIST standards and generate necessary system documentation
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and keep stakeholders informed of outcomes
- Provide guidance on security requirements for systems in cloud and on-premise environments

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security (Cybersecurity or Information Assurance)
- Recognized IT security certification, such as Security+ or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Proficiency in developing and managing security authorization and assessment packages
- Knowledge of Federal security regulations, standards, and processes including FISMA and NIST
- Strong written and oral communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- DevSecOps experience
- Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
- Experience in writing security-related policies and procedures
- Technical experience with reviewing vulnerability scans and providing mitigation techniques
- Experience with maintaining security packages in a Governance, Risk, and Compliance tool
