      An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time (job share) Senior Sister/Charge Nurse Band 7 based at our Huddersfield Dialysis Unit. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, dynamic and experienced renal nurse with excellent communication skills.       Main duties of the job

      Applicants should have extensive post registration experience, significant experience within a leadership role, including the management and leadership of a team, and substantial renal disease management experience. They will have knowledge, and recent practice, of the care of adults with both end stage and acute renal failure, including the ability to perform and teach haemodialysis. Possession of a recognised teaching/assessing qualification is essential, while a non-medical prescriber qualification (or willingness to complete within 6 months), relevant degree and post-registration renal qualification are all desirable. We offer an individualised, in-service, induction programme supported by the Renal Unit Clinical Education Team.       About us

      The Leeds Renal Services lies within the Abdominal Medicine Surgery (AMS) Clinical Service unit at Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust. The renal service receives referrals for adults for the management and treatment of disorders of the kidney. The spectrum of disease ranges from mild disorders to life threatening conditions. All the renal consultants see patients with general nephrological problems and, in addition, have their own special interests. The main renal unit is at St James's University Hospital, where inpatient, outpatient, pre-dialysis, haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and transplantation services are provided. Nurse-led outpatient clinics also take place at St James's. The sub-regional kidney transplant service for West, East and North Yorkshire is located at St James's University Hospital.
