      The role:

      • Responsible for providing dedicated clinical support to clients of the HASI initiative to ensure a seamless and person-centred service is delivered.
      • Responsible for the expert guidance on Social Work treatment and case management for a variety of therapeutic interventions including complex cases.
      • Provide comprehensive, evidence based clinical assessment, treatment and recovery focused intervention for clients, and clinical case-management services, and develop and implement group programs, community education sessions and formal reports as required.
      • Participate in the recruitment process for specialist social workers within the region including assisting the Allied Health Director - Statewide Mental Health Services and Team Leader - ACHMS with the coordination of social work student placements, orientation, and teaching activities.

      Details of Appointment

      Fixed term full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30th June 2025.

      *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

      Salary: $116,616 to $130,357 per annum + 11% superannuation

      • Please note that access to salaries beyond $122,908 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
      • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

      Eligibility:

      Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

      1. Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

      2. Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

      3. Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a “certification of eligibility” letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership to the AASW, o r where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements

      4. Full member of Australian Association of Social Workers

      5. Current Driver’s Licence

      The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

      1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
      • crimes of violence
      • sex related offences
      • serious drug offences
      • crimes involving dishonesty
      • serious traffic offences
      1. Identification check
      2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
