What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the architecture and design of secure, scalable data access services for the Globus data management platform
- Develop, test, document, deploy, and maintain high-quality software on a cloud-based platform
- Collaborate with support teams and end users to provide technical support and document procedures
- Coordinate team activities, including project planning and recruitment, while maintaining knowledge of relevant software technologies
- Solve complex problems and identify opportunities for technical improvement and performance optimization

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: College or university degree in a related field
- 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Strong programming experience with Python, including developing and maintaining applications
- Understanding of architecture patterns and service-oriented architecture
- Proficiency with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite)

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering and delivering large-scale systems
- Familiarity with Linux system programming and cloud services (e.g., AWS)
- Experience with REST API design and implementation
- Knowledge of web security technologies (e.g., OAuth2, SAML, OpenID Connect)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
