      Senior Staff Engineer - Amazon Connect
      • Duration: 3-month contract/ Right to Hire
      • Contract Hourly Pay rate up to $100/hr
      • Because this position has the option to go from contract to full-time, we can only accept candidates with the work authorization of a US Citizen or Green Card.

      Position Description
      • Our Senior Staff Engineer is a senior-level member of the Voice engineering staff ensuring we provide a frictionless experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of security and availability.

      • The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between.
      • Our Client's Enterprise Voice team is seeking a highly motivated, process-oriented Software Engineer for our contact center technologies.
      • You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we redefine the experience for our customers.

      Responsibilities
      • Provides technical architecture & leadership for medium to large, complex, cross-functional Products/Platforms, enabling the work for all teams within a Domain and mentoring relatively junior engineers. Self-Directed.
      • Specifies architectures and sub-system or process decompositions that involve significant integrations and/or cross-team collaboration
      • Provides pertinent documents, directions, and examples. Identifies short- and long-term solutions; Implements new architectural patterns
      • Ensures that software and system implementation and deployment configurations meet the functional and non-functional requirements for the system and that the implementation is of high quality
      • Principal contributor (lead) and approver for design, patterns, best practices, policies, code, and architecture reviews activities involving complex integrations
      • Translates complex business requirements into technical designs

      Qualifications
      • Expert experience with Amazon Connect including Contact Flows, Security Profiles, Routing Profiles, Queues, Quick Connects
      • Expert experience with Amazon Web Services including Lambda, Lex, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions, CloudWatch
      • Master-level experience using multiple programming languages including Node.js, Python, C#
      • Experience implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform
      • Experience integrating with internal and external applications
      • Developed strategies, processes, and best practices for the department by analyzing industry best practices
      • Provided a technical direction and architectural guidelines for teams facing extremely complex technical challenges
      • Experience building detailed technical architecture, framework, and reusable capabilities with best practices and operational intelligence that meet the test of time iteratively
      • Contributed to improvements in organizational metrics such as DORA metrics that measure improvements in team velocity and stability of service delivery
      • Experience and understanding of Security Protocols and Products such as Active Directory, SAML, IAM
      • Communicate effectively with a diverse team and foster a culture of clear, concise, effective, audience-oriented communication on their team, ensuring teammates actively listen to others and are understood. Actively demonstrates these behaviors.
      • Consistently helps their teammates overcome obstacles, resolve blockers, and complete work tasks. Gives or shares credit where due.
      • Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
      • AWS Certifications at the Associate, Professional, or Specialty Level

      Experience
      • 8+ years of experience in Contact Center technologies and Cloud Architecture
      • 10+ years of professional software development experience
      • 8+ years experience with architecture and design
      • 4+ years of hands-on experience developing Contact Flows, Routing Profiles, Queues Lambdas, and Lex Bots
      • 4+ years of experience using Terraform as Infrastructure as Code
      • 6+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
      • 3+ years of people management experience

      Education:
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
