Job Description

- Design, implement, and maintain data protection / backup infrastructure.
- Support Adobe's growing multi-petabyte storage services in private and public cloud locations.
- Support a 24x7 distributed enterprise environment.
- Participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation responding to alerts and issues from other team members.
- Develop and optimize Key Performance Indicators for storage services and communicate regularly with management to report on operational performance.
- Identify security design gaps in new and existing architectures and collaborate with engineering teams to craft solutions that mitigate those issues.
- Follow service management processes such as change, incident and problem management.
- Provide supporting inputs to budget planning, HW life cycle planning and resource planning/allocation.
- Participate in vendor relationship for HW procurement, product road maps and emerging Storage and Data Protection technologies.
- B. E./B. Tech in Computer Science or other equivalent degree
- 5+ years of professional cloud engineering experience with in Public and Hybrid cloud technologies
- Demonstrated experience with data protection and backup tools preferably Commvault, with a DevOps focus
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise Block storage technologies preferably Hitachi SAN, Brocade Director class FC switches, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Process
- Strong experience with enterprise Network Attached Storage (NAS) technologies preferably Dell PowerScale/Isilon and NFS, SMB/CIFS, HTTPS protocols
- Good experience in deploying and managing scalable software defined object storage preferably IBM COS or MinIO
- Experience working with high-availability, distributed systems and services in a hosting environment including hardware, OS, storage, network, and database solutions
- Experience with programming, scripting and automation tools including Python, Git, Jenkins, etc.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, and Splunk.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools.
- Prior experience in defining and developing strategy, technology blueprint and road maps.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to establish strong relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Experience in analyzing project scope and determining resources needed to meet project demands.
- Effective at short-term actions that are consistent with long-term goals.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and complete tasks in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
