      Summary: Responsible for timely recruitment, screening, and enrollment of qualified study participants for ongoing research studies and for supporting recruitment-related administrative and outreach efforts. Performs duties in accordance with company's values, policies, and procedures.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities willinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned at the company's sole discretion.

      • Speaks professionally to potential study participants to obtain and input accurate and complete demographic and medical information into the Volunteer Database (VDB).
      • Communicates study details and procedures, addresses questions and concerns, and determines study eligibility based on inclusion and exclusion criteria.
      • Schedules screening appointments for pre-qualified study participants and follows complete screening appointment wrap-up procedures.
      • Updates information from study participant global files into the VDB.
      • Participates in community outreach programs (health fairs, interactions with local professionals, and community advocacy and service groups).
      • Contributes to the completion of recruitment plan milestones.
      • Subject matter expert for one or more study protocols and serves as a resource to recruiters for study-specific information.
      • Provides initial and ongoing training for recruiter new hires.
      • Supports Call Center Supervisor with the development and implementation of recruiter job aids and tools.
      • Collaborates with Recruitment Leadership in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies.
      • Provides administrative and logistical support to Call Center Supervisor for study start-up and enrollment activities.
      • Assists Call Center Supervisor in the development and implementation of training and development programs for Study Participant Recruiters I and II.
      • Assists Recruitment Leadership in the development of recruitment feasibilities and analytic tools, as directed.
      • Performs study-specific queries from VDB.
      • Proficient in department tools, including but not limited to: InContact application, VDB, and Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS).

      Qualifications:

      To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.       Education and Experience:

      High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one-year experience as Study Participant Recruiter II or two years study participant recruitment experience; no performance issues and at the judgement of the supervisor is recommended to advance. Knowledgeable of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and regulatory guidelines related to the recruitment of study participants and clinical trials.

      Language Ability:

      Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to potential study participants, managers, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred. Senior Study Participant Recruiters will require highly developed verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Work Instructions (WIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), medical terminology, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

      Math Ability:

      Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

      Reasoning Ability:

      Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

      Computer Skills:

      To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the current MS Office Suite and knowledge of media and graphics programs. Study Participant Recruiter II will also require intermediate knowledge of VDB and InContact system. Senior Study Participant Recruiters should have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, VDV, and InContact system.
