- Leverage your understanding of integration of robotics, AMRs, PLCs, and ensure the convergence of IT and OT for optimized workflows
- Develop and maintain the architectural overview of systems covering lab operations in our research laboratories
- Participate in work with the Target Architectural Framework and take responsibility for the Lab Operations area by ensuring scalability, security, and reliability while identifying and prioritizing technical initiatives
- Collaborate with Release Train Engineer and business stakeholders to ensure IT systems align with business needs, and architectural runway is continually being improved
- Provide architectural overview, guidance to projects/activities and the solution architects within the cluster
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in various areas, such as data, integrations, automation, and vendor management.
- Work closely with architect colleagues to ensure that architecture principles and guidelines, best practices are constantly established, evolved, and aligned across DD&IT
- Bring a Secure by Design mindset, to ensure IT systems are secure, reliable, and in compliance with regulations. Furthermore, to identify and mitigate technical and physical risks, and supporting the guidance and management of the DevSecOps team
- 4-5 years of experience as a Solution or System Architect
- Experience with integrations, automation and/or systems enabling laboratory operations, e.g., sample management, data management, ELN
- Great vendor management skills. You should be confident and assertive in managing vendor relationships in order to challenge requirements and solutions while also being empathetic to the needs of our primary stakeholders, researchers
- Proven expertise in seamlessly integrating cloud platforms, particularly Azure or AWS, with operational technologies (OT) and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) to foster scalable, secure, and efficient lab environments
- Familiarity to work in Agile framework SAFe, or other agile methods

About the position
In this position, you will also be part of the leadership team in the Lab Operations cluster. The cluster contains projects and activities related to systems that reach across our research laboratories, e.g., data management, sample management and Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN). The systems are present on all current and future research sites, but the position is based in the main research site in Måløv. Some of your main stakeholders will be architects in the Architecture & Sandbox department, architects in other areas of the global organization, and members of the ongoing projects and activities within the Lab Operations cluster.

About the department
You will become part of our DDIT-RED Architecture & Sandbox department located in Måløv, Denmark. The department currently consists of 7 architects and is building up additional capabilities and capacity. The department is part of Research & Early Development IT, which consists of more than 105 skilled colleagues located in Måløv, Bangalore, Boston, Seattle, Beijing, and Oxford. We are responsible for major IT systems and projects in Novo Nordisk, as well as the scientific IT infrastructure in Research & Early Development. We constantly deliver the great IT solutions that our scientists in R&ED need in order to drive the revolution of drug development.
