      Job Description:

      Summary:

      A Senior Systems Engineer will provide planning, implementation, and management of virtualization server technologies in Epiq’s global datacentres. This position will be heavily involved in virtualization platform migration and requires advanced knowledge of platforms such as Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Deployment, management, upgrades, and support of virtualization technologies
      • Virtual machine migration planning and execution with minimal downtime
      • Complex troubleshooting of virtualization related issues
      • Utilize PowerShell for scripting/automation of tasks
      • Capacity planning to ensure clusters remain in healthy state of oversubscription
      • Create up-to-date documentation for all virtualization systems
      • Provide training and support for Level 2 server engineers

      Education, Experience and/or Skills Required:

      • Minimum of 4 years Microsoft Hyper-V enterprise level experience
      • Expert technical knowledge of VMware technologies
      • Expert technical knowledge of Windows Server 2016 and newer
      • Some familiarity or experience with Azure Hybrid environments
      • Experience working in a lights-out enterprise class datacenter
      • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
      • Working knowledge of ITIL and ITSM methods
      • Ability to mentor and teach team members
      • Optional: familiarity with Azure Stack HCI
      • Optional: AZ-800 certification
      • Optional: expert technical knowledge in Linux operating systems
