      About the team.

      The role sits within our Cloud Engineering team, which is a part of Core Platforms, in the Central Tech Business Unit at Booking.com. Cloud Engineering provides the capabilities that enables the Booking.com tech community to build and run world-leading cloud native applications for the online travel market and deliver the company strategy of the Connected Trip.

      The Senior Technical Product Manager role at Booking.com is the lead on delivering cost value for our services architected in Public Cloud, which in turn enables teams to continually and sustainably deliver value to our customers. The role will own all aspects of the Cloud cost lifecycle and foster into the overall company strategy and architectural direction for optimising and delivering services. You will work closely with leadership and engineering from across the company to understand their cost focus, assisting them with optimisations and supporting decision making; ensuring the customer is at the center of everything.

      Responsibilities :

      • Own and drive the cloud forecasting, budgeting and reporting lifecycle.
      • Constantly connect with stakeholders, driving FinOps cultural change throughout the organisation.
      • Translate the cloud strategy into cost optimisation goals and critical metrics
      • Collaborate with the FinOps function to develop cost optimisations and integrate into roadmaps for Product Teams.
      • Serve as a point of escalation, review and approval for key issues.
      • Meet with Budget Owners within Product Teams to coordinate spending limits and forecasting of future budgets.
      • Build and sustain relationships with key partners; bring together expertise across the business to cater towards Booking’s strategic objectives

      Your skills & Experience :

      • Validated experience of being responsible for the Cloud cost lifecycle for an Enterprise business.
      • Hands on experience in optimising AWS and GCP Cloud spend.
      • Experience and solid understanding of native cloud cost management tooling and/or third-party cloud management or optimization platforms (e.g. AWS Cost explorer, Cloudhealth, Apptio/Cloudability, etc.)
      • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
      • Stakeholder management and prioritization experience.
      • Ability to formulate multiple solutions to problems and drive consensus.
      • Ability to tell a story with data.
      • Proficient in the English language both spoken and written.
      • Nice to have: FinOps Certified Cloud Practitioner certification
