      The Senior Transportation Network Manager reports to the Director Transportation Strategy and Solutions, and provides strategic and operational leadership to our Network Transportation Manager team. Success in this role comes through collaboration in the management of our supply chain, delivering business objectives and serving our customers and consumers. This role leads a team of salaried Transportation professionals and will coordinate and communicate transportation strategies to others inside the organization as well as outside, to increase visibility, awareness of issues and opportunities, and ensure alignment with business and supply chain objectives. The position works closely with the Transportation Operations team, Procurement, and Analytics group to ensure successful execution of service, capacity and cost programs.

      In this role you will:

      • Actively manage the Kimberly Clark transportation base with the focus on cost, capacity, service, and sustainability targets.
      • Partner with Procurement to ensure annual and ongoing carrier sourcing initiatives are completed and deliver cost, service and capacity with a strong focus in balancing strategy execution, rate negotiations and implementation of new rates post event
      • Manage transportation partner relationships strategically with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, as well as ensuring partner’s adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory governance through SLA’s and supporting the Transportation Operations team with operational escalations- this includes carriers and freight payment supplier (US Bank)
      • Support forecasting, development and submission of annual transportation budget by business including reporting of monthly results, impact analysis and forecast adjustments if needed.
      • Subject Matter Expert for US domestic transportation and a deep working knowledge and skill set leading transportation (Truckload, Intermodal, LTL) and logistics operations in a complex multi-site environment
      • Build an assertive, proactive, results-oriented team that is passionate about winning through teamwork. Identifies and hires top-tier talent; maximizes team member effectiveness by providing ongoing coaching and feedback; creates opportunities for growth and development.
      • Support network design initiatives by providing voice of transportation to balance market considerations, customer requirements and internal requirements; Direct the freight approval process ensuring compliance to internal controls, that carrier payment terms are honored and working capital is effectively managed.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Business, or related fields; Graduate degree preferred
      • Extensive knowledge of broader supply chain operations and strong business acumen
      • 8+ years of experience in Transportation or Supply Chain with proven leadership skills and ability to navigate fast-paced complex end to end supply chain; Solid understanding of the Transportation or Supply Chain industry, benchmarks, indexes and best practices
      • Ability to lead, inspire and motivate team members to best-in-class performance with a focus on identifying, developing and retaining organizational talent
      • Excellent supplier relationship management skills; knowledge of contractual structures and agreements; and detailed understanding of budgets and financial metrics; Experience with transportation freight payment processes, preferably US Bank.
      • Blue Yonder TMS general knowledge is preferred
